I recently had the pleasure of working with a buyer from New York who has been working here in our community while her family remained back home. She was ready to find a home that would bring everything together—a great location, convenient proximity to work, the right space for her family, and a place where they could truly settle in and feel at home.

Some friendships in this business become so much more than just being colleagues. ❤️
While I was away in Indy for my Leadership Academy conference, I had a closing scheduled back home that I absolutely hated having to miss. Thankfully, my colleague and dear friend Ruth stepped in for me. She rearranged her own schedule to cover the closing and make sure my client was taken care of—and that meant more to me than she probably realized. 🏡🔑
I wanted to take her out for a little thank-you dinner to show my appreciation. We enjoyed a beautiful evening on the patio, a great meal, and even better conversation. 🌸🍽️
And then, as we were leaving, Ruth surprised me with this adorable little decoration! 😂🐾💀 With Halloween right around the corner, it was absolutely perfect—and such a sweet gesture.
Thank you, Ruth! Not only for helping me when I needed it, but for being the kind of colleague who has become a truly dear friend. I’m so grateful for you! ❤️

Sometimes the best “meetings” don’t exactly go according to schedule! 😂❤️
Kristee and I are BOTH always on the go! We were supposed to meet for a little business meeting at the newly renovated Taphouse, but my hair appointment ran over — because Brooke Franklin is the BEST and good hair takes time! 💇🏼‍♀️✨ So… Kristee was waiting on me.
Then, once we finally got settled in, Kristee had to run out to lock in rates for a client! 🏃‍♀️🏡 So suddenly…I was waiting on HER! 😂
But somewhere in between hair appointments, mortgage rates, phone calls, and our crazy schedules, we managed to share an appetizer, have a drink, catch up, laugh, and even squeeze in a little business. 🍻
At the end of the day, we’re two friends who genuinely LOVE what we do — and I think that’s what makes working together so much fun. ❤️

🏡 Sometimes the house you don’t get leads you exactly where you’re supposed to be. ❤️
I absolutely loved working with this buyer! He had a very specific area he wanted to call home because being close to family was important to him. With such a small search area, we knew finding the right property might be a challenge.
We found a house he really liked, wrote an offer, and unfortunately, with multiple offers on the table, his wasn’t the one chosen. Disappointing at the time? Absolutely. But sometimes there’s something even better waiting around the corner…or, in this case, right next door! 😊
Not long after, another property came on the market—and amazingly, the backyard backed right up to his family’s property! Now they are literally next-door neighbors. You couldn’t have planned it any better.
And the house itself? Even more than he originally imagined finding—acreage, a pole barn, plenty of space, and so many extras. What initially felt like a missed opportunity turned out to be a blessing in disguise and the perfect outcome.
I’m so happy everything came together beautifully for both the buyer and the seller. This is one of those closings I’ll remember because it’s such a great reminder that sometimes the right home really does find you. ❤️🏡

Such a great day connecting, learning, and spending time with some of the best people in our local real estate community!
I really enjoyed all of the breakout sessions and came away with some great takeaways, fresh ideas, and new things to put into practice. There’s always something to learn in this business, and events like this are such a great opportunity to grow while connecting with others in our industry.
I also loved representing the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Greater South Bend Area at our table alongside some of my WCR sisters! ❤️🏡
