Each Friday I enter the Tuolumne County Superior Court as a court appointed neutral- mediator offering free Mediation to the parties of their individual conflicts.

Mediation allows the parties to design and implement resolution vs a court decision

Jim W Hildreth is the court manager and has served the court for 10 years plus.

Hundreds of disputes have been resolved at the mediation table.

A difficult challenging Landlord Tenant issue was Mediated in the Tuolumne County Superior Court on Friday.

Resolution was found vs a trial with a negotiated agreement.

The court offers free Mediation on Fridays.

Today in court.

Today I was able to assist in court a dispute that involved an eviction.
In this case the person being evicted had a claim of ownership and the Plantiff wanted possession so the real estate could be put up For Sale.
Plaintiff agreed to a 45 day period, the Defendant wanted 60 to 90 days.
The Mediator discovered that with a time extension, the Defendant would make repairs and prepare to the property with sweat equity.
The Mediator proposed an additional 15 days with an agreement to vacate in 60 days with the improvements.
Attorneys represented both parties.
An example of a win /win more time, improvements and splitting proceeds after a future sale.
One of the Attorneys gave credit to the court and Mediator for assisting in a negotiated settlement and the court stated they would keep me around a little longer.
All in a days work.
