The Prothonotary’s Office of the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is making strides in protecting individuals from abuse through the Hope Card Program. They will send a business sized card to victims of abuse, with information sufficient for law enforcement to verify the existence of an active Protection from Abuse Order. This will be much easier to carry on hand than a multi-page Protection from Abuse Order.
