There is a lot of fear and misinformation circulating right now about immigration changes.
As an immigration attorney, I want immigrant communities to understand this clearly: Adjustment of Status (AOS) is statutory law passed by Congress — not simply an “exception” created by an administration.
Do not panic. Do not abandon a legal pathway because of fear online if you have a legal pathway.
At the same time, this is a serious moment. Before making decisions about your immigration status, travel, or filings, speak with a qualified immigration attorney and understand your rights.
Every case is different and immigration law is highly fact-specific.
