We are currently seeking an experienced full-time assistant with prior legal experience for our office in Silsbee, Texas.
Must be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel) and electronic court filing system. Knowledge using MyCase is a plus.

Duties and responsibilities: this position requires administrative and litigation support including, but not limited to: answering telephones, scheduling, filing, document creation, preparation/revision of correspondence and/or documents, speaking with clients, court filings/recordings, other clerical duties.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Prior work in a legal environment or for a law firm;
Paralegal experience is a plus but not required;
Proficiency in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel);
Experience using MyCase is a plus but not required;
Exceptional organizational skills;
Attention to detail;
Ability to prioritize, and to multi-task;
Ability to work in a fast-paced legal environment with minimal supervision;
Possess a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary: DOE

NEW TEMPORARY OFFICE HOURS:

Due to the increasing need to keep our staff, clients, and neighbors safe, while still providing quality legal services, we will be evolving our legal practice to accommodate the public, yet adhere to the standards as pronounced by our County Judge. Starting this week, Monday, March 23, 2020, and continuing for the next two weeks (or longer as necessary for the public's safety) we will be offering: 1) free telephonic consultations; 2) Medical Powers of Attorney, Statutory Durable Powers of Attorney, and simple Last Wills and Testaments at one-half our normal price; and 3) Drive up signings on all Powers of Attorney and Last Wills and Testaments. Meaning, we will create these documents for you, once drafted we will call you and discuss in length the document, then set you a day and time for you to drive to our office, once here you will call us and we will come to your vehicle for you to sign the document in the safety of your vehicle without unnecessarily exposing yourself to the public. Also, we have closed our lobby to the public, but will remain open for your calls. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

We know that the coronavirus is of major concern to all of you, as it is to us here at this firm. The health and safety of our staff and our clients are our number one priority.
