FGKS Law attorneys and staff recently gathered at Lake Loramie for our annual Summer Party, where they enjoyed an evening of BBQ, trivia, and Singo.

A special highlight of the event was welcoming back legal assistant Megan Minnich following active duty service in Kuwait. Megan honored the firm with an American flag that was flown on a combat mission, a meaningful gift that we are proud to receive and display.

Who inspired you or encouraged you to join the United Way board?
~Directly, my colleague, Phil Borger, who is a former board member. Additionally, FGKS Law has a long history of involvement with the United Way of Shelby County, including past board presidents and campaign chairs.

What is your favorite part of being on the United Way board?
~Getting to see firsthand the spirit of giving and service that is so strong in this community.

When did you first become involved with United Way or join the board?
~I became a board member in January 2025.

Where are you from?
~I grew up in Vandalia, just north of Dayton.

Why should others consider getting involved?
Others should consider getting involved with the United Way because it is a unique opportunity to see all of the organizations in the community that provide essential services from every facet of life on a daily basis and to see the profound impact.
