In our last summer of baseball together after 13+ years, If I could give parents of younger players any advice, it would be these 3 simple things:

1) Teach them to love and respect the fact that the game is bigger than any one person.

2) Be a good teammate at all times.

3) Never complain. Just keep working to make the best of whatever opportunity you get.

I think that’s more important than any stat, exit velo, spin rate, weekend tournament ring, or a hundred other external factors surrounding the game today. In short, teach them to play … for love of the game.

Today we completed our Justice Bat wall, which has a memorial bat bearing the name of individuals who lost their lives, and for whose families we obtained Justice. Because “Justice” is more than just a word to us, and Justice Field is more than just a baseball field. It is a representation of the lives we have helped put back on track after unimaginable tragedy.

May we never forget our past clients, and may they inspire us to always stay motivated to help future families.

It is one of our biggest days of the year at Justice Field! We hosted MLB’s Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition….and we awarded our LA Heroes Scholarships!

Congratulations to all of our scholarship recipients, these young men and women have some incredibly bright futures ahead of them.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to participate! Winners are Kayson Amato, Micah Berney, and Logan Brock. Good luck guys at the next round!

The best part of the day was that all of the youth players saw our scholarship recipients rewarded for their years of hard work. We talked about using whatever talents and abilities God gives us to help others, and carrying on the tradition of service to the community. The future is in good hands!

And one more announcement - Justice Field is now a 501c public charity! Be on the lookout for more big things to come.

Oilfeild cases are complex. You don’t get a police report that tells you who is at fault. You have to dig and be able to drill down on the answers. So if you’ve been injured in the oilfield, don’t trust your case to a car wreck attorney. Find an attorney with experience in the oilfield.
