We are proud to announce that Shreveport Bar Association - Young Lawyers Section was nationally recognized by the American Bar Association as one of its Stars of the Quarter for this year’s SBA Law Day program. This recognition is awarded to only four ABA Young Lawyers Division affiliates nationwide each quarter, and the SBA YLS was one of just two Louisiana affiliates selected. The award reflects the tremendous effort and dedication of our Law Day Chairman TJ Pittman and committee, whose hard work helped make this year’s program such a success. We also want to thank SBA member Jasmine Cooper, LSBA YLD District 8 Representative for submitting this year's Law Day program for recognition.
Congratulations and thank you to everyone who contributed to Law Day and helped earn this outstanding national recognition for the SBA YLS!

The Shreveport Bar Association was proud to host the first session of the James C. McMichael Jr. Institute Trial Academy Lunch & Learn Series this past Friday. This series honors Jim McMichael’s legacy of mentorship and trial advocacy education.

SBA President Marshall Rice welcomed attendees before Jimmy Mijalis and Patrick Jackson presented “Dominating Depositions,” an engaging CLE on deposition strategy and trial advocacy.

We were thrilled by the response, with registration reaching full capacity. Thank you to our presenters and attendees for making the first session of the series such a success!

The Shreveport Bar Association's Oral Histories Project preserves conversations with distinguished attorneys whose careers have shaped our legal community. Through these interviews, seasoned lawyers share the experiences, challenges, lessons, and values that guided them throughout their professional lives.
