Path Act Funding Begins Soon! The Path Act that requires tax returns with Earned Income Credit be held until after February 15th. Billions in refunds will be released Monday, February 23 and Wednesday, February 25th.

If you earn overtime pay at work, you may be able to deduct up to $12,500 of qualified overtime compensation on your federal income tax return (up to $25,000 for married people filing a joint return). Many employers were not able to report your overtime on your W2 this year so be sure to bring your last check stub with your Year-to-Date totals so we can calculate the deduction!

The No Tax on Tips Deduction for 2025

The No Tax on Tips deduction established by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) went into effect retroactively starting January 1, 2025.

Taxpayers who work in customarily tipped occupations can exclude from taxable income up to $25,000 annually in voluntarily paid cash tips during 2025 through 2028.

Since the law is retroactive to January 1, 2025, many employers could not separately report tips on the W2 so be sure to bring your last check stub in order to determine the amount of your overtime when you come in to file your return!
