SHERIDAN — Gov. Mark Gordon appointed Sheryl Smith Bunting as 4th Judicial District circuit court judge, serving Sheridan and Johnson counties.

If you haven't caught the paper lately, or seen our smiles in the Country Bounty yet...

We have office-shared with Mr. Timothy S. Tarver since late 2018/early 2019, but the relationship between the two firms has evolved into a new partnership: Tarver, Kerns & Bunting, LLP.

We're honored to be officially joining forces with one of the most established and respected attorneys in the Sheridan area - very excited for the opportunities the future is sure to hold for all of us!

We have been slowly reopening our office, and beginning to schedule some in-person appointments on an as-needed basis, due to the current COVID-19 outbreak and per the CDC’s recommendations regarding the same. We will be working both in-office and remotely, with continued access to phone messages and email. We are asking clients to wear a mask, scarf, or bandana for any in-person visits or meetings. If you do not have a facial covering of your own, one will be supplied for your use while in our offices, to create an extra barrier of safety for both you and our personnel. We are doing our very best to conduct business as usual (within the parameters of the Courts’ directives) given these unpredictable circumstances. Your patience during this time is greatly appreciated.

Meet our lawyer, Brendon Kerns!

Brendon grew up on a family ranch located near Parkman, Wyoming. After graduating law school in 2010, he worked in private practice for Kinnaird Law Office. In 2014, Brendon opened his own law practice with a focus on municipal law, criminal law, estate planning, business law, trust litigation and family law. In 2018 he and Sheryl Bunting formed a new law firm, Kerns & Bunting, LLC.

Meet our lawyer, Sheryl Bunting!

5th generation, Bunting grew up in Buffalo, Wyoming. From 1996-2008 she had a private practice for general law. Bunting then served as the Deputy County and Prosecuting Attorney for Sheridan County, Wyoming handling all juvenile cases involving abuse & neglect, delinquency and child in need of supervision from 2008-2018. She has now returned to private practice in partnership with Brendon Kerns, forming the law firm of Kerns & Bunting, LLC.
