Took one for the team… TEAM, Inc. that is…. Taking a day off to pick up the generous donation from Samuel Adams up in Boston for the upcoming TEAM Community Cookoff (Men Who Cook) next Saturday the 25th. Always fun to try new brews. And this year, Jack came for the adventure today… Tickets are still available - only $65.

If you know me, you know I'm old school at what I do - I still work as a solo, as my own paralegal and as my own secretary. I hand write checks and I welcome conversations with clients without them feeling that they are being charged for every minute of a quick phone call. So to celebrate 20 years, I tried something new - I used Co Pilot to create a flyer marking 20 years of my firm, The Law Office of Kate M Casagrande. Not bad for a first try.

I'd love to hear from past clients, colleagues and the community of how my law practice has helped you over the years and what makes me different than other attorneys. And as always, thank you for your trust in me.

Looking forward to presenting this morning at National Business Institute’s Connecticut Medicaid Asset Planning seminar… leave it to the government to create a system that’s confusing and terrifying at the same time. It doesn’t have to be though and learning more about the process is the best way to overcome the fears of it.

Happy New Year! Humbled and blessed by my clients and friends who donated more than $1,600 toward TEAM, Inc.’s Toys 4 Kids program. Together with our office, we were able to donate more than 200 toys, plus 30 helmets and batteries and supplies valued at more than $5,500.

Looking forward to 2025 and continuing to serve on TEAM Inc.’s board as a legal advisor and continuing to serve the community with legal services, especially residential real estate and estate planning.

DON'T MISS OUT! See the Valley Soul Community Choir TONIGHT!

The Griffin Health Valley Soul Holiday Gospel Choir is set to illuminate the joys of the holiday season with a free concert of traditional and contemporary gospel and holiday music on Tues., Dec. 10 at Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour.

This can’t-miss gospel performance will feature choir members from faith-based organizations, health and human service agencies, foundations, and other grassroots organizations, serving as a metaphor for the “choir of caring” that lights up the holiday spirit for the residents of the Valley.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the free concert starts at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will follow the concert. The event is free and open to all. No reservations needed. Seating is general admission on a first come, first served basis.

To encourage giving, those who give, shall also receive. - Any donation you make through my office, up to $500, I will match in value in legal services from my office. And to further encourage you, know that I love finding bargains to make a dollar stretch, so your donation is maximized. A $25 donation, on average, results in toys with a retail value of $75.

ATTENTION ALL OXFORD RESIDENTS!
TOMORROW - Wednesday, August 21st from 10AM - 3PM at Quarry Walk in Oxford outside by the green - NO QUESTIONS ASKED - TEAM Inc. and the American Red Cross Connecticut will be providing cleanup kits, water, food/sandwiches, and opportunities to connect for additional referrals & resources that may help in response to the devastating impacts of the flooding.
