Berkowitz and Hanna LLC is proud to announce that Kelly Ferraro has been elevated to the position of Counsel to the firm.
According to Russ Berkowitz, managing partner of the firm, “Kelly started with the firm as a personal injury and medical malpractice paralegal back in 2009 but her passion for the law lead her to return to law school at Pace University School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctorate degree. We were thrilled when Kelly came back as an associate and her elevation to Counsel is another step in her journey with the firm.” Known for her toughness in searching for the truth in our cases, Kelly has been a vital member of the firm and has worked on some of our most complex medical malpractice cases since returning to the firm as an associate. She also has been instrumental in obtaining awards for retired NFL football players in the NFL Brain Concussion Class Action and has been awarded over $20 million on behalf of a number of retired NFL players who have sustained brain injuries during their careers. Kelly is a Connecticut Super Lawyer “Rising Star” and member of the Fairfield County Bar Association where she serves on its Board. She is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the Americal Association of Justice.

Jennifer Amdur and Andy Wildstein have been elected as firm named partners.

Berkowitz and Hanna LLC is pleased to announce that partners Jennifer Amdur and Andy Wildstein have been elevated to named partners and the firm name will change to Berkowitz, Hanna, Amdur & Wildstein LLC, effective January 1, 2026.

According to Russ Berkowitz, Managing Partner of the firm, “this is a well-deserved honor for Jen and Andy who epitomize what it is to serve as a voice for clients who don’t have the ability to speak for themselves as a result of their catastrophic injuries.”

Jen has been with the firm since 2012 following her graduation from Quinnipiac University School of Law and practices medical malpractice and personal injury law. She is an award winning attorney who has already won over $150 million on behalf of our clients, many which involved maternal, birth and pediatric injuries and death cases. Jen is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, American Association of Justice, and has been recognized as a Connecticut Super Lawyer since 2014 and has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as a top 40 Under 40 lawyer.

Andy joined the firm in 2023 after a successful 25 year career with another law firm where he was recognized as one of the top trial lawyers in Connecticut. Upon joining our firm, Andy has made an immediate impact as a plaintiff’s medical malpractice attorney and has been responsible for a number of impressive medical malpractice awards on behalf of our clients. Andy is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, American Association of Justice, and he is a Connecticut Super Lawyer in the field of medical malpractice.

The BerkowitzHanna Charitable Fund makes commitment to food assistance organizations:

There is nothing worse than members of our communities going hungry. Therefore, our firm charitable fund has recently made substantial grants to Filling in the Blanks, Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, Person to Person, Bridgeport Rescue, and Spooner House. The grants totaling 100k will be used by each organization to help fill in the gaps in their food assistance programs following the federal government’s termination of Medicaid, SNAP, and other food assistance programs that many of our neighbors rely on to survive.
