In furtherance of SOCs ongoing commitment to having a diverse and inclusive workforce, we have partnered with Hartford HealthCare to offer a unique summer internship in 2021 for a law school student that will work at both HHC and SOC. This paid internship will provide an exceptional opportunity for a law student to gain practical legal experience across a broad range of legal practice areas within HHC and then see the management of and trial preparations for medical malpractice claims at SOC. The intern will not only have the opportunity to join SOC by participation with their existing community service endeavors, but to identify and spearhead a new diverse and inclusive community service project. The goal is to learn from each other.

Stockman O’Connor Connors recognizes the right and responsibility of all citizens to vote and the value of civic mindedness. So this Election Day our offices will be closed, our staff given the day off in recognition of the importance of this day and our firm will be engaged in a community service project with the Cardinal Shehan Center. We’re proud to partner with the Center to offer its families a socially distant breakfast. The Center provides enormous support for families in the Greater Bridgeport Area. It is our hope that by providing a hot and ready to go breakfast for the Center’s families, we’ll allow parents a little more time to get to the polls. Additionally, we’ll be participating with a number of the Center’s children in a Jeopardy-like Zoom game show that focuses on our government, voting and civic mindedness. Elections are determined by those that show up. Show up!
