I'm always amazed at how many lawsuits are filed each election season. On one hand, it's somewhat sad that judges are forced to referee so many election disputes. On the other hand, election laws are complex and it is important to interpret them properly. It will be interesting to see how much "flexibility" judges find in election laws that are impacted by Covid this year.

I'm not a personal injury lawyer, but the "standard of care" that a business owes to workers/patrons may depend on government guidelines. With an increase in contract disputes, people are looking for ways to defend breach-of-contract claims. Two defenses that might apply are "adhesion" and "unconscionability". If the contract is extremely unfair and one party took advantage of a weaker party, a court can invalidate the contract. It doesn't always work, but is an option to consider.
