FASS Real Estate Services is proud to have been selected by Developer Tim Tramble as the Property Management & Leasing Brokers for the new 89th Rising Apartment Community that is under construction in Cleveland’s Fairfax neighborhood. The project is unique in that it is comprised of six eight suite apartment buildings situated on different lots along East 89th Street.
East 89th street has historically been a center of the city’s black community with prominent houses of worship, like Antioch Baptist Church, locally owned businesses like EF Boyd & Sons Funeral home, as well as The Karamu House, which is the oldest African American Theater in the United States and was an early proving ground for prominent playwright and poet Langston Hughes, author Zora Neale Hurston and actresses like Ruby Dee.
The neighborhood, like many in the City of Cleveland, encountered challenging times with the flight of middle-class residents in the latter half of the twentieth century, but recently there has been a renaissance, taking advantage of the areas relatively central location and proximity to the region’s major employment hubs.
With the investments continually being made in the Fairfax community with projects like this, East 89th street and the greater Fairfax community, will surely RISE back to prominence.
