It's a somber day here in Sevierville as we mourn the passing of a true East Tennessee treasure, Dolly Parton. 💔

Dolly was so much more than a music legend. She never forgot where she came from, and her love for Sevier County was evident in everything she did. From creating opportunities for children through the Dollywood Foundation and starting the Imagination Library right here in Sevier County, to inspiring generations to dream bigger, learn more, care more, and be more - her impact will be felt for years to come.

She brought the beauty and spirit of the Smoky Mountains to the world while continually giving back to the place she called home. She helped so many displaced after the wildfires and, more recently, Hurricane Helene. Her generosity, kindness, and belief in people changed countless lives - not only here in Sevier County, but far beyond.

Thank you, Dolly, for the music, the memories, the opportunities, and the love you gave so freely. Your light will continue to shine in these mountains and around the world. ❤️✨

Rest easy, Dolly. You'll always be one of us, and you will never be forgotten.
