🏡 FLORIDA HOMEOWNERS: THIS COULD BE THE BIGGEST PROPERTY TAX RELIEF IN STATE HISTORY!
A proposal known as "Save Our Homes From Excessive Property Taxes" is moving forward and could dramatically reduce property taxes on Florida homestead properties. The proposal would immediately increase the homestead exemption to $250,000, with a path toward even greater tax relief in the future. State leaders estimate that an increase to $250,000 could eliminate property taxes for approximately 60% of Florida homeowners.
But here's the important part:
✅ This is a Constitutional Amendment.
✅ It will require 60% voter approval statewide to pass.
That means a simple majority is NOT enough. Florida voters must show strong support for this measure before it becomes law. Florida constitutional amendments require at least 60% approval from voters.
