***CHANGE OF ADDRESS FOR FORMER CLIENTS OF ALEXANDRA LOZANO***

If you are a former client of Alexandra Lozano or Luz Legal and you have a pending case with USCIS - it is imperative that you update your address with USCIS. If you fail to do so, any notices or letters from USCIS will not be delivered to you, as that law office is now permanently closed and will stop reviewing the mail in 30 days. The consequences of missing certain notices are serious - you may get your application denied, be placed in removal proceedings, or receive a removal/deportation order for missing your court hearing.

Here are instructions regarding how to update your address - you will need to have your receipt notice available:

1) The AR-11 Change of Address form is available here: https://www.uscis.gov/ar-11

2) Individuals with a pending VAWA, T Visa, or U Visa need to follow the instructions for submission found here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-guidance/how-to-change-your-address/change-of-address-procedures-for-vawatu-cases-and-form-i-751-abuse-waivers
You CANNOT update your address online.

3) You need to print and fill out the AR-11 form, and then MAIL it to USCIS at one of the following addresses depending on the receipt notice associated with your case:

For cases with a receipt number beginning with EAC:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

For cases with a receipt number beginning with LIN:

Please follow these instructions carefully and update your address as soon as possible. If you hire a new attorney to handle your case, your attorney can communicate with USCIS on your behalf - but until an attorney has agreed to help you with your case, you must update your address on your own.

We are deeply concerned about the thousands of clients that Alexandra Lozano and Luz Legal have left in an unimaginably difficult position. We are doing our best to answer questions and return calls as quickly as possible.

Please follow the instructions below that apply to your particular case. We will consider the new mailing address that you provide to be a safe address to receive correspondence. You must explicitly request an address change for each form or application that you have pending.

Still, this year was also filled with wins—approvals granted, families reunited, futures protected, and hope restored. None of it came easy, and every success carried the weight of the challenges behind it.
