Wednesday, March 27 | 5:30 pm The WLC invites you to celebrate our 2019 Woman of the Year, Judge G. Helen Whitener of the Pierce County Superior Court!

Her accomplishments are tremendous: Co-chair of the WA Minority and Justice Commission, Chair of the WA Superior Court Judges’ Association (SCJA) – Equity and Fairness Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association of LGBT Judges (IALGBTJ)-- among many others!

We will also be honoring Brittney Adams, our 2019 Testy Scholarship winner! The Woman of the Year celebration is a great opportunity to network with attorneys, judges, and other members of the legal community. Champagne and light refreshments will be served.

A few of you have reached out to me regarding the newsletter.

If you are a Women's Law Caucus paid member who is not currently receiving the weekly newsletter, please reach out to Stephanie Storm directly so we can get you squared away ([email protected]).

If you are a paid member you *must* join the Women's Law Caucus Connect SU page in order to receive the weekly newsletters. The way the messaging portal is setup does not allow us to add your email for you. We are able to send you an invitation to join the page, however, so if you have previously inquired about why you aren't receiving anything please check your email and make sure that invitation did not go unnoticed or into the spam folder.

As a reminder, you will not receive the newsletter if you are not a paid member, but you are still able to add yourself to our Connect SU page in general.

Huge- "As of January 1, 2019, all Washingtonians with state-regulated insurance can now pick up over-the-counter contraceptives for free at their in-network pharmacies, according to the Office of the Insurance Commissioner. Those contraceptives include "condoms, spermicides, emergency contraceptives, and sponges."
