You Have a Revocable Living Trust. But is it funded?

One of the most common estate planning mistakes we see is assuming that signing a trust automatically transfers assets into it.

It doesn't.

A trust is only effective for assets that are actually owned by the trust.

Failing to fund a trust can lead to the very outcome many people hoped to avoid: probate.
