Seattle has a secret season nobody talks about — and it's not summer.

Our agent Liz Hake, a lifelong Seattleite, says everyone leaves in the fall, and that's the mistake. September and October in Seattle are criminally underrated. Clearer skies than August. Fewer tourists. Rainier with its first snow caps, genuinely jaw-dropping. Ferries that aren't packed. Farmers markets at absolute peak.
