Last year, thanks to your generous donations, we raised over $15,000. These funds have allowed us to do incredible work. Already this year, we have:
– fielded nearly 250 requests from folks in need of help
– provided direct legal services (consultations + representation) to over 80 people, mostly women, of varying ages, and the majority with children
– secured 39 protection orders (this is nearly double what it was this time last year, which horrifies us, but we're grateful to be able to help)
– charged folks an average of 35% of market rates (this is only possible due to your donations, and without being able to charge folks reduced rates, none of the above is possible)

Friends! Today is October 1, which means:
1. The best season (fall / spooky season)!
2. It's domestic violence awareness month, which means our fundraiser has begun! Once again this year, our fundraiser runs the entire month of October. If you've been here a bit, you know that we do one fundraising push each year, which quite literally sustains us for the following year, and allows to continue to provide quality, affordable legal services to victims and survivors of domestic violence throughout King and Snohomish counties, Washington.

That's a wrap, y'all! Our fall fundraiser is officially over, and we cannot thank you all enough for donating and sharing and supporting this work. Thanks to you, we all crushed our goal and raised over $14,000. These funds will sustain us for the next year, and will allow us to continue providing much needed legal services to survivors. We truly would not be able to do any of this without you. Thank you ❤️

According to the CDC, 1 in 4 women will experience physical violence from their partner at some point during their lifetimes. Domestic violence (DV) or intimate partner violence (IPV) happens behind closed doors, but it is pervasive. Chances are, whether you realize it or not, you know someone who has been or is going through it. Help us help survivors, by making a donation today.

Just over 9 months in, and we've already had a tremendous impact:
– We've acted as a resource for 171 members of our community.
– We've provided direct legal services to 64 people, with ages ranging form 16 to 66. 90% identify as women, 42 have minor children, and 12 cases involve abuse of children.
– We've secured 20 court ordered protection orders, which have been instrumental in keeping families safe.
– We've charged folks an average of $148 (which is only possible due to your donations).
