Hello friends. I hope everyone is healthy and finding little ironies to make you laugh each day. For me today it was laughing at how horrible I am at painting my toenails. I seriously got more color on my skin than nails. My family and I are healthy and this craziness will pass!

I’ve been trying to think of ways to stay engaged with my friends and clients about our Seattle real estate market without an “everything’s great” fake smile. Many of my clients have put their home buying process on hold but this isn’t a luxury that everyone can enjoy so there are still many buyers out there trying find their new home while staying at home. Not impossible, but a different landscape for sure. Showing by appointment only, no open houses, lots of wipe downs (Ok, this might not be new for me, full service agent. Haha!)

I get a daily briefing from my lending partner John Nubel at Fairway about what the mortgage industry is experiencing and the loan approval goal posts seem to be moving daily with multiple employment verifications and debt to income ratios tightening up for borrowers. He did tell me they are able to do jumbo loans again this coming Friday which is great for folks looking for a house over $741K in King County.

I am here to chat about what the market is doing right now and what we will see in the next couple of months.
