The obstacle is the way.
During the past year, I encountered the most formidable professional challenges of my career. At times, the intensity of these challenges led me to seriously reevaluate my dedication to the practice of law.
Faith and community got me through it. In the midst of the pain, I reached out for help. A colleague answered that call and showed me the power and healing of unconditional support. And we continued the fight together.
Yesterday marked a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts, as another critical piece of the puzzle fell into place in our favor. I had the privilege of sharing this extraordinary development with my client, making all the pain and fight of the last year worth it.
I am grateful for the reaffirmation of my faith, which guided me through these professionally challenging times. It taught me that the difficulties and pain I encountered were not obstacles to lament but rather essential stepping stones for necessary personal and professional growth. He always has a plan.
This past year has been a valuable lesson, reinforcing that adversity is a catalyst for positive transformation. I am grateful for the resilience and profound insights I have acquired, which will empower me to make a more meaningful and compassionate impact on the lives of others and reinforces my clear sense of purpose to advocate for victims of crime.
