I had the honor of representing Mr. Alfred Atsus alongside Jason Mattioli in a nearly four-week trial, culminating in the jury's three-day deliberation resulting in the acquittal of our client from all charges. Working with exceptional litigators during this trial was truly a remarkable experience. Despite the verdict, observing attorneys Patrick Casey, Matthew Clemente, and Gino Bartoli passionately advocate for their clients against a formidable team from the United States Attorney's Office was inspiring. The bonds formed during this trial have blossomed into lasting friendships and professional connections that hold immense value. I am eager to stand by these individuals in any future legal battles.

I extend my gratitude to Adam Sipler and the dedicated team at Myers Brier & Kelly, LLP for their unwavering support throughout the extensive discovery process. Their expertise in organizing over 50,000 pages of documents, along with numerous hours of video and audio recordings, was truly exceptional.

As emphasized by Jason, the weight of responsibility is profound when entrusted with a client's liberty and freedom. This trust is a constant reminder of the dedication required to deliver the best possible defense. The sacrifices made by our families and friends do not go unnoticed, as their understanding and support fuel our commitment to securing justice for our clients. The sense of accomplishment when our efforts result in a successful defense is truly gratifying.

After three days of deliberations, jurors convicted Joseph Atsus, Nicholas Dombek on most counts they faced and Damien Boland on all counts against him.

πŸŽƒπŸ‘» Happy Halloween from Michael J. Ossont, Esquire! πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ

As the spookiest night of the year approaches, it’s important to remember that Halloween fun can come with risks. Here are some reminders to keep your celebrations safe:

Watch for Trick-or-Treaters: If you’re driving, be extra cautious in residential areas. Kids can be unpredictable, so slow down and keep an eye out for little ghosts and goblins.

Safe Costumes: Choose costumes that are flame-resistant and ensure they fit well to prevent trips and falls. Consider face paint instead of masks for better visibility.

Home Safety: If you’re hosting or handing out treats, keep walkways clear and well-lit to prevent accidents. Check for any hazards like loose cables or decorations.

Candy Check: Always inspect treats before letting your kids indulge. Ensure everything is sealed and safe to eat!

Pet Precautions: Keep pets indoors during trick-or-treating hours. The excitement can be stressful for them, and it helps prevent any accidents with unfamiliar visitors.

Remember, if you find yourself in an unfortunate situation this Halloween, I’m here to help. Give me a call at (570) 880-7389 to set up a free consultation. Enjoy the fun and stay safe! πŸŽƒβœ¨

Hey Pennsylvania Drivers,

Are you aware of the crucial differences between Full Tort and Limited Tort auto insurance coverage when it comes to personal injury claims? Understanding these distinctions could significantly impact your ability to seek compensation in the event of an accident.

Here's the lowdown:

Full Tort: With Full Tort coverage, you retain the unrestricted right to pursue compensation for pain and suffering resulting from a car accident, regardless of the severity of your injuries. This means you have the freedom to file a lawsuit against the at-fault party without any limitations on your recovery.

Limited Tort: On the other hand, Limited Tort coverage typically offers lower premiums but comes with a significant restriction. Under Limited Tort, you forfeit the right to seek non-economic damages, such as pain and suffering, unless your injuries meet certain threshold criteria, such as serious impairment of bodily function or permanent disfigurement.

Choosing between Full Tort and Limited Tort can have long-term implications for your ability to recover damages in the event of an accident. While Limited Tort may seem appealing due to lower premiums, it's essential to weigh the potential limitations on your ability to seek compensation for injuries.

As a personal injury lawyer, I've seen firsthand how insurance coverage decisions can impact accident victims' lives. If you're unsure about the best option for your situation or have questions about your existing coverage, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to provide guidance and ensure your rights are protected. Give me a call today at 570 880-7389.

Stay informed, stay safe, and drive responsibly!

πŸŒžπŸ˜‚ Humorous Alert: Driving Tips During the Solar Eclipse from Your Friendly Personal Injury Lawyer πŸ˜‚πŸŒž

Hey there, fellow road warriors!

As a personal injury lawyer, I feel it's my duty to inject a bit of humor into the serious matter of driving during the solar eclipse. So, buckle up and get ready for some light-hearted advice:

1. Avoid Eclipse FOMO: Sure, witnessing a solar eclipse is cool, but trust me, getting rear-ended because you were too busy staring at the sky isn't. Keep your eyes on the road, folks!

2. Solar Shades, Not Solar Goggles: It's tempting to whip out those eclipse glasses while cruising down the highway, but let's save the stargazing for a safer location. Keep those shades on your face and your eyes on the road – it's the best way to avoid a "stellar" accident!

3. No Eclipse Selfies: Unless you want your next Instagram post to be a , put the phone down while driving. Remember, the only thing that should be eclipsed is your urge to take a selfie behind the wheel.

4. Honk if You Love Eclipses: While honking may seem like a fitting way to celebrate this celestial event, remember that excessive honking can startle other drivers and lead to accidents. So, save the honks for the post-eclipse party!

5. Eclipse Traffic Jams: Who needs a front-row seat to the eclipse when you can enjoy the scenic view of the car in front of you for miles on end? Embrace the eclipse traffic jam – it's the perfect opportunity to catch up on your favorite podcasts or practice your car karaoke skills.

6. Beware of Moonstruck Wildlife: If you encounter confused critters on the road during the eclipse, just remember – they're probably just as baffled by the sudden darkness as you are. Give 'em a wide berth and a friendly wave as you pass by.

7. Legal Eclipse-Evasion Maneuvers: If you find yourself in a fender-bender during the eclipse, don't fret! Just give me a call, and I'll swoop in faster than the moon crossing the sun. Together, we'll eclipse those pesky legal troubles in no time!

Remember, folks, driving during a solar eclipse doesn't have to be a total blackout of fun. With a dash of humor and a hefty dose of common sense, we can navigate the roads safely and enjoy the cosmic show without any cosmic collisions.

If you find yourself the victim of someone not following these simple and silly eclipse driving tips, give me a call at 570 880-7389.

Stay safe, stay silly, and may the eclipse be with you!
