I had the honor of representing Mr. Alfred Atsus alongside Jason Mattioli in a nearly four-week trial, culminating in the jury's three-day deliberation resulting in the acquittal of our client from all charges. Working with exceptional litigators during this trial was truly a remarkable experience. Despite the verdict, observing attorneys Patrick Casey, Matthew Clemente, and Gino Bartoli passionately advocate for their clients against a formidable team from the United States Attorney's Office was inspiring. The bonds formed during this trial have blossomed into lasting friendships and professional connections that hold immense value. I am eager to stand by these individuals in any future legal battles.
I extend my gratitude to Adam Sipler and the dedicated team at Myers Brier & Kelly, LLP for their unwavering support throughout the extensive discovery process. Their expertise in organizing over 50,000 pages of documents, along with numerous hours of video and audio recordings, was truly exceptional.
As emphasized by Jason, the weight of responsibility is profound when entrusted with a client's liberty and freedom. This trust is a constant reminder of the dedication required to deliver the best possible defense. The sacrifices made by our families and friends do not go unnoticed, as their understanding and support fuel our commitment to securing justice for our clients. The sense of accomplishment when our efforts result in a successful defense is truly gratifying.
After three days of deliberations, jurors convicted Joseph Atsus, Nicholas Dombek on most counts they faced and Damien Boland on all counts against him.
