My brother in Mesa likes to joke that he could live in San Diego for what Phoenix costs now. Turns out the numbers back him up.
I talked with Arizona’s Family about a new study. Phoenix home prices have outpaced inflation by 177% over the last 15 years, second-highest in the country behind only Miami. The median went from $109K to $445K.
But here’s what matters right now: prices dipped about 2% this past year. Buyers have more negotiating power, and homes are sitting longer. If you’re selling in Scottsdale, pricing and marketing matter more than they have in years.
Thanks to Austin Walker and azfamily for having me. 🔗 https://www.azfamily.com/2026/10/04/phoenix-home-prices-outpace-inflation-by-177-second-highest-us-study-finds/
