This is why I oppose schools sending
my clients to the ACES. I filed a complaint with OCR against the Arizona Department of Education for continuing to approve the ACES in Arizona due to ACES’s restraint and seclusion policies and resulting injuries of students. The latest information I have from OCR is that OCR submitted a records request to ADE and is investigating.

Come join us in July. We will explain parent (and guardian) rights, and walk you through the Procedural Safeguards Notice, that 30 page booklet that schools offer you at every meeting that is soooooo hard to understand. We will make it easy to understand. We promise.

Profiled in the NYC UFT - United Federation of Teachers news. Thankful to our mother who encouraged me, and to Lori for inspiring me and being my partner.

Retired special education teacher Hope Kirsch has turned her educational knowhow into a rewarding second act as a lauded special education attorney post retirement.

We could not be more proud of Lori’s son, Hope’s nephew.

We're doing two presentations this week. Here's the second one. It's Saturday, January 24, 2026, for the Arizona Autism Coalition. If it sounds familiar, it's a variation on previous presentations we gave to school personnel and to attorneys. This one is for parents and guardians, providers, and advocates. It's especially fun as we've got a SPED Director and one of our favorite opposing counsel.
