The Scottsboro Public Library is planning our annual Craft Fair at the Scottsboro Public Library on May 3.

We are taking applications for vendors. Vendors of all ages are welcome. Handcrafted items only. $20 donation per vendor.

The Kevin Dukes Career and Innovation Academy is thrilled to announce the addition of a new CTE program for the 2025-2026 academic year. Fire Sciences / EMS will kick off in Fall 2025 and will be a full CTE program based at the KDCIA. This initiative has been made possible through a partnership between the City of Scottsboro Alabama, Scottsboro Fire Department, Town of Hollywood, and the Alabama Fire College.

At tonight's Scottsboro City Council meeting, Police Chief Ron Latimer was recognized for his years of service to the city. Latimer will retire as of April 1st of this year.
Mayor Jim McCamy recommended that Greg Godfrey be appointed as the next police chief effective April 1st, and the recommendation was approved by the Council.
