"Breaking news…. Jasper Mills Responds to Recent Times Union Articles!

ALBANY – The Times Union newspaper chose to write two articles without reaching out the Jasper Mills for comment or allowing him to be interviewed by the editorial board as they did for candidates of every other public office that will be decided in two weeks before publishing their “opinion”.
Yesterday, Jasper’s campaign manager reached out to a member of the editorial board to inquire as to why he was not interviewed and was told “We only do interviews when we feel like we need more information from the candidates, and in this case, we do not need any more information…” Nonetheless, the Time Union did conduct interviews in the race for Albany County District Attorney.
Courtroom proceedings are adversarial by nature and the process of fact-finding cannot be condensed to soundbites or one-sentence quotes. Many of Jasper’s friends, colleagues, and supporters have contacted him to express their support and concern regarding the conflicting information contained in the articles and editorial “opinion” published just days after. It’s axiomatic to believe that the first time someone participates in a family court, it should not be as a Judge presiding over the case, and/or they should have more than one year experience as a practitioner..."
