The Schenectady County Clerk is encouraging residents to sign up for the free Record Alert System — a simple way to get notified if any document is recorded at the Clerk's Office under your name.

With property fraud on the rise, staying informed is key. Since Jan. 1, 2025, 334 residents have signed up and 139 alerts have already been sent.

Baby it’s cold outside! With the assistance of a network of dedicated knitters, crocheters, and other good people this office has put out more than 350 hats, scarves and mittens that are free for anyone who comes by. We hope you all stay warm!
