Immigrants have long played a meaningful role in the U.S. military. Today, roughly 5 % of active-duty service members are foreign-born — including both naturalized citizens and noncitizens who serve in our armed forces.
Their service reflects deep commitment and sacrifice, and highlights how individuals from diverse backgrounds strengthen our nation. Military service can also intersect with immigration benefits, including expedited naturalization pathways for those who qualify.
At Mika Law, we honor the contributions of immigrant service members and their families, and we help clarify how military service may impact immigration options and eligibility.
