You know you’ve lived in Florida a couple of years when… 🌴😂

🌪️ Jim Cantore shows up in your town and you immediately think, “Well… time to evacuate.”

🦟 You discover Skin So Soft isn’t really skincare — it’s Florida’s unofficial secret weapon against the bugs.

🧇 If Waffle House closes, you PAY ATTENTION. Things just got serious.

🍻 But somehow… The Drift Inn on Anna Maria Island? Still open. CAT 5? They’ll give it their best shot. 😂

🐊 You stop being shocked when there’s an alligator in a retention pond.

🦎 You no longer notice the lizards running across your lanai… until one gets IN the house.

🌧️ You know a 90% chance of rain can mean 12 minutes of absolute monsoon followed by blue skies and sunshine.

☀️ You learn that “feels like 105°” is not an exaggeration.

🌀 You have hurricane shutters, batteries, water and a generator plan — but the hurricane snacks are somehow the first priority.

🏖️ You know “the beach” and “the sandbar” are two completely different plans.

🚗 You understand that getting anywhere near Anna Maria Island during season requires strategy, patience and snacks.

🌅 And after all the heat, hurricanes, love bugs, no-see-ums and snowbird traffic…

You catch one of those ridiculous Gulf Coast sunsets and think:

Yep. Still worth it. 🌴🌅❤️
