The Florida Bar Elder Law Section, the Florida Joint Public Policy Task Force for the Elderly & Disabled, and the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys came together last weekend to create the new "Babette Bach Champion of Justice Award" to recognize outstanding elder law attorneys in Florida who have pioneering and noteworthy accomplishments. Who better to be the first recipient of the award named in her honor than our very own Babette B. Bach. Board Certified Elder Lawyer Emma Hemness presented her with the award on behalf of the three organizations.

Today was Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day 2019 and once again Bach, Jacobs & Byrne, P.A. was proud to host it. We had an additional special visitor this year: Lindsey's morkie (named Trevor), pictured here. He was dressed for success and kept us all entertained. Here he is presiding over a meeting in one of our conference rooms.

Sean Byrne spoke to an outstanding group of inquisitive Sarasota County Fifth Graders today as part of the annual Law Day program sponsored by the Sarasota County Bar Association. Sean has been speaking at Law Day every year since 2008--the year most of the kids in the picture were born. Their teacher had them very well prepared--they acted out a mock trial and asked great questions. (Picture posted with permission)
