UPDATE REGARDING FLORIDA PROPERTY TAXES
Yesterday, Governor DeSantis held a “Roundtable on Property Taxes”

Here were the key takeaways -

🌴The focus is on “reducing or eliminating” property tax - specifically for homesteaded residents
🌴Talks have indicated the cut will likely be on Non-School Ad-valorem taxes, which account for roughly 60% of the cost
🌴DeSantis has also said they are working to get it on the ballot in November 2026
🌴An additional effort to get further “credit” for homeowners was also mentioned

So far the rhetoric seems to indicate that homesteaded residents might see a significant reduction in property taxes as early as 2027, by as much as 60%. We shall see!
