This is how I wanted to spend my birthday: at Dr. Joe Dispenza’s seven-day Advanced Meditation Retreat — 35 hours of meditation, 25 hours of lecture, and a week immersed in the science and experience of the mind, body, energy, healing, and human potential.
I came here wanting to deepen my meditation practice and build the discipline to make it part of my everyday life. I’m leaving with that, but also with a much deeper sense of what may actually be possible for us.
The idea that we participate in creating our lives is not new to me. Much of what I have built in my career and in my life existed vividly in my mind before it became real. I have seen firsthand what can happen when vision, belief, intention, and action begin to align.
What this week gave me was a far more expansive understanding of that process.
The science and teachings were extraordinary, but so were the people. I witnessed transformations and healings that challenged the boundaries of what I had previously considered possible. I made friends who had deeply mystical experiences, and I had experiences of my own that changed the way I understand connection, healing, and the capacity we have as human beings.
What stays with me most is the possibility of creating realities that are not simply improved versions of what we already know, but something entirely new and unknown— in our bodies, our lives, our relationships, and in who we become.
There is so much more available to us than we often allow ourselves to imagine.
I can’t think of a more meaningful way to enter 34.
