I am glad to see this 1935 DeSoto was able to make it through the Parade! I spoke with Brenda after the run and she was so happy.

I converted this chrysterl 318 from points over to full HEI, installed new plugs and wires. Doing so makes it easier to start, more reliabe, more consistent, and cleaner look under the hood. I also eliminated a couple of unused vacuum ports, clean up so wire routing, and tucked the oil pressure sending unit a little behind the valve cover. Of course I adjusted the carb and timing by ear since the setting with the timing light was not correct nor drivable.

If you tackle an HEI conversion on any vehicle, they are usually designed for the most popular setup for that engine. You may have to modify the housing, intake, brackets, and reroute wires and hoses.

This little gem is having trouble running.
Powered by a 318, 5speed, and a little 2 barrel. They are wanting it ready for the Route 66 cruise. I hope I can deliver.

Installed a new clutch, flywheel, boot, and adjuster rod on this classic. 81 K20 Short bed. What an awesome truck. It will need some more work in the near future, but it will move under its own power.
