As its former President and now Ex Comm Board Member, I understand the impact Project Youth OC (PY-OC) has on the lives of at-risk youth through guidance, education, and family-centered support. Every year, the Banyard Inn of Court hosts an event called Legal Jeopardy, which took place in April. The evening began with social networking, followed by dinner and the main program. As the name suggests, all the categories in Legal Jeopardy were related to the law. This year, five teams of eight Banyard Inn of Court members/players participated. I helped a little, but other trivia-genius team members really carried the day. Amazon gift cards were presented to the two top teams.

Recently, Pamela and Eric co-hosted a fundraiser to support Judge Ami Sagel in her contested election in Orange County. The event, held at Traut Injury Law, attracted more than 40 attendees, which included other judges, elected officials, and lawyers.

Judge Sagel was appointed to the bench in 2023, and by all accounts, has been doing an exemplary job in the juvenile court. Her opponent made an unsuccessful motion with the court to force Judge Sagel to use her maiden name, which is of Indian descent. His hope to play the "race" card with voters failed. The upcoming primary election is scheduled for June 2, 2026. We ask that you consider supporting Judge Ami Sagel with your vote, in addition to a monetary contribution.
