I’m Captain Joey Burnsed and I’m committed to delivering a great Sanibel & Captiva Islands fishing experience for you. Whether you’re a family with young children or very seasoned and experienced fishermen and fisherwomen, I’m focused on customer service and a safe, fun and friendly fishing trip. And the great blessing of Sanibel & Captiva is that there usually are fish biting somewhere! Captain J
oe Burnsed Sr., my dad, and Laurel, my mom, raised me on Sanibel and Captiva Islands, and taught me all about fishing and shelling on Sanibel and Captiva. My dad has had some significant health issues, so he doesn’t get out on the water much anymore. Hank is my dog and first mate (most of the time). Charlie runs all our web & moble operations and is my first mate when he is in Captiva. Charlie and Hank manage to get along when they are on the boat just fine and there isn’t any tension about who really is the “first” mate! We’re big advocates of catch and release, particularly for snook, but pretty much for most species. Only take what you are going to eat, and a lot of fish are better off as sport fish, even if they are in season. Our motto is let ‘em get bigger and catch ‘em again! The quickest and best way to book a charter is to click the blue "Book Now" button Facebook and and you can see availability and book a charter in a couple of clicks. If I’m booked up on the calendar, call us because I often run a 3rd charter, either a kids trip at midday for a couple of hours or a late afternoon trip from 4-7 PM. We can also line you up with our other guides, Captains Josh, Jimmy and Lamar. And one of these days, Charlie will also be taking folks out. Hank would like to, but he has a hard time steering the boat. The injustice of no opposable thumbs. 😉
Keep smiling! Captain Joey Burnsed
