What a great way to start the day! Blessed to help two amazing families finalize their adoptions!

It doesn’t matter if it is in person or virtual, adoption day for families is one of my most favorite days! Congratulations to our two newest adoptive families on making legal what God has been doing for over a year. The Aguilars and Tuckers are official and we are so thankful to have been a part of your journey!

Happy National Adoption Month! Our posts have been sparse lately, but we have been busy doing a lot of adoptions over zoom. This is the first year that we have not been posting pics from National Adoption Days from all over Texas so I decided we should light up the page celebrating adoption with your own pics. This is a small glimpse of the family and village surrounding my family when we adopted our son 10 years ago yesterday. Our family was forever blessed on that day. It’s so amazing that our Court systems have found a way around this Pandemic. Our firm is so happy we are able to continue to help these sweet families. Congratulations Sosa Family!

Bethany, 5, and Jeffrey, 3, were Jessica’s first foster care placements – and a few months later, Avery, 2, joined them. Adopting a sibling group all under the age of five might seem like a big undertaking for some, but for Jessica, she couldn’t imagine not doing it. “I saw the need in foster care when I was doing a lot of volunteering and had some friends who worked for CPS, and also a lot of friends who have fostered or adopted. I was always very aware of the need,” explained Jessica.

Jessica never imagined her first foster placement would turn into an adoption case. But from the first time they stepped into her home, she opened her heart and loved them with all she had. Today, the sibling group of three officially joined the Sosa family via a virtual adoption ceremony.

Well, to say things have changed would be an understatement. We have made some adjustments and are still working hard to make these families complete during this time. Congratulations Porath Family! We are so honored to be able to assist you with your adoption.

Teresa Porath and her husband, Adam, had been waiting for more than a year to adopt their two foster children, she said. After multiple setbacks, including the pandemic, the couple were finally able to adopt siblings Jonathan James and Morgan Marie on Friday in a Zoom hearing.
