FHANC Fair Housing Wins!

Recent fair housing victories highlight the impact of strong advocacy and client-centered support.

A client with disabilities was facing multiple lease violation notices and ultimately a termination of tenancy due to a faulty range hood that repeatedly triggered fire alarms while cooking. Our Advocacy led to all notices being rescinded, the termination reversed, and management agreeing to install a properly functioning range hood to ensure safe and stable housing!

In another case, a client shared the following about their experience:

“During one of the most vulnerable times in my life, Sri was kind, considerate, and communicated with patience and genuine care… Throughout the entire process, I always felt heard, supported, and truly cared for.”

These outcomes reflect the importance of enforcing fair housing protections and ensuring individuals are treated with dignity, respect, and care. Complete the online intake form today, and one of our counselors will contact you: https://www.tfaforms.com/4983346

Every person deserves a place to call home--free from discrimination.

This April, we recognize , marking the anniversary of the Fair Housing Act of 1968, landmark legislation passed to eliminate discrimination in housing and expand equal opportunity for all.

This month is a reminder that the work isn't finished. Housing must be accessible, inclusive, and fair for every individual and every family.
