All attorneys new to the practice of law in San Mateo County are invited to attend the annual Barristers Meet and Greet on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Meet with judges, District Attorneys, local practitioners, and court staff. Learn about procedural “dos and don’ts” and hear a brief presentation by supervising judges. We will have welcome remarks from the San Mateo County Bar Association, various bench officers, and local legal organizations, followed by a Q&A sessions with a judges panel.

Free for all attendees.

Officers for both the main Bar Association and the Barristers section were sworn in by none other than the Presiding Judge of the San Mateo County Superior Court, the Honorable Leland Davis, III.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!!

We wanted to pass on a wonderful thank you to everyone who showed up on Tuesday for our First Steps for Families Annual Holiday Dinner service. A special thank you to Andersen Tax of San Mateo for the wonderful group of volunteers! The choir, cookie making and games were all major hits with the kids.

Thank you Maggie for being our president and all the hard work you continue to put towards this group.

Barristers & First Step for Families – Volunteers needed for our Annual Holiday Dinner!

First Step for Families is part of the LifeMoves organization,
a comprehensive coordinated network of housing and social
services for the homeless residents of the San Francisco Peninsula and Silicon Valley. First Step provides assistance and shelter for up to 39 homeless families from our community.

Volunteers will set up, serve dinner, and play games with the
children on Wednesday, December 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m.
to 7:00 p.m., at 325 Villa Terrace in San Mateo.
