We are pleased to welcome Jacqueline “Jackie” Deam as Of Counsel to Gillett Law, APC.

Jackie brings over 15 years of experience representing children and families in education, dependency, and family court matters. At Gillett Law, she will focus on special education advocacy and representing children in complex custody cases.

Known for her steady presence and strong communication skills, Jackie works effectively with families, professionals, and agencies to navigate sensitive and high-stakes issues. Her background includes serving as a children’s attorney, education attorney, family court facilitator, and operating a private practice focused on mediation, parenting coordination, and co-parenting support.

Jackie earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law and holds both a Master of Education in Early Literacy and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. Her combined legal and educational experience informs a thoughtful, practical, and child-centered approach to her work.

We are excited to have Jackie join our team and look forward to the continued impact she will make for children and families in our community.

As we reflect on the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on this national holiday, let us not just see it as a day off, but as an opportunity to delve deeper into the meaning of his message. Dr. King's struggle for civil rights and equality was not just about achieving legal victories, it was a call to action for each and every one of us to actively work towards creating a just and equitable society. Today, let us not only remember his words but also commit ourselves to the ongoing work of dismantling systemic racism and oppression in all its forms.

We are beyond excited to congratulate our very own Aislinn Kiyomi Roberts on passing the California Bar Exam. Aislinn has been with Gillett Law for over three years as a legal assistant, clerk and soon an associate attorney. She exemplifies grit having gone through law school in the height of the pandemic. Well done Aislinn and congratulations.
