Happy New Year!
As we enter our 23rd year of mediation service to Central California, we look forward to another great year of dispute resolution and bridge building. We will continue to conduct all mediation sessions by zoom video conference until the pandemic is controlled.

Don't let the covid-19 restrictions cause you to put off your mediation. We are currently conducting mediations by way of telephone and tele-conferencing. The courts will be backlogged for some time, even after they open up. Don't let your case linger, get into mediation and get it settled.

Twenty years ago this month, I left my former law firm and litigation practice to begin a new career as a full time mediator and arbitrator. Together, Rob Dimitrijevich and I forged the central coast's first full time alternative dispute resolution panel, Just Resolutions ADR Neutrals. Never in my wildest dreams would I have envisioned that this mid-life career change would prove so successful and satisfying. Now, after approximately 3,000 mediations, I can honestly say that I don't ever want to retire from helping people find a better way to resolve their disputes or work together in a collaborative manner to improve their situations.

I am in my twentieth year of mediation practice (over 3,000 mediations), after I spent the prior twenty years litigating. Letting go of the need to fight and win for my client has allowed me to see more clearly all perspectives that make up a dispute and to facilitate discussions to find a more collaborative outcome, one that is almost always better than the litigation alternative.
