Dear All Restaurants in the Bay Area (especially Vietnamese restaurants): there has been an increase in lawsuits against restaurant owners for violations of ADA laws. Please check to see if your establishment has complied with all the requirements. "The Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA, was an important piece of civil rights legislation that was signed in 1990. The law asserts that businesses must take every possible step to allow people with disabilities to enjoy the same products and services that are available to other customers."
Xin các nhà hàng Việt lưu ý. Dạo này có rất nhiều cuộc thưa kiện vì nhà hàng vi phạm luật bảo vệ người tàn tật. Đừng để bị tốn tiền thưa kiện vô ích mà hay xem lại chỗ đậu xe, bàn ăn, vv. có đúng theo quy luật không. Nếu không thì nên sửa chữa tu bổ ngay trước khi bị họ thưa mình.

California Secretary State Office: Effective Monday, December 7, 2020, and through the end of December 2020, the Secretary of State’s office will temporarily suspend pick up and expedite/preclearance services. All expedites dropped off on Friday, December 4, 2020, or prior will be processed and mailed back upon completion.

Expedite and Preclearance Services are suspended. Any expedites received Friday, December 4, 2020, or prior will be returned by mail.
Lobby Pick-up is suspended. Any documents received Friday, December 4, 2020, or prior will be returned by mail.
Drop-off Service will continue in the Lobby from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Special Handling fees will be waived, and all documents will be returned by mail.
The 72-hour rule is suspended for rejected filings.
All documents dropped off will be deemed received at 5:00 p.m. on the date dropped off and processed on a first in, first out basis followed by drop-off and mail apostilles, conversions, and mergers. Routing filing turnaround time is 7-10 business days.

It is with great appreciation and humility that I accept this award. I know that this award does not belong to me as a single individual, but to all who have shared my journey and helped me

I am humbled and honored receiving this prestigious award. Your letter alone is sufficient to confirm the work I do and fuel my passion to continue the path. More than ever, our society is experiencing great unrest and it is incumbent upon us, the legal community, to lead the way for stabilizing efforts. VABANC, Vietnamese American Bar Association of Northern California, has always been the beacon in this regard and I will be honored to be part of these efforts.
