06. Although business was good, they closed during the infamous "crash" of 2008. Taking a break from real estate, Rodney took a position as Graphics Design Instructor, where his leadership, initiative and dedication to his students quickly earned him the title: Director of the Graphic Arts Program. While successfully growing the program by 75%, and working with his students was fulfilling, it was Rodney’s passion for real estate that ultimately led him back to being a fulltime agent. Working with his (now) wife, Meredith, Rodney leveraged their skills and education, patience & persistence, to navigate the distressed market & excelled in sales and accolades; CDPE Expert, Agent of the Month (multiple times), & Global Luxury Specialist. In addition to his success as an agent, Rodney became an Office Mentor, coaching new and top producing agents in the office. Shortly after the birth of their daughter, Rodney & Meredith relocated their family to North SD County where they could enjoy a "change of pace" & a new market to tackle. Rodney's reputation & knowledge of the business propelled his success in the SoCal marketplace. In addition to selling, Rodney began recruiting and working in the role of Agent Success & Business coach, where he structured and implemented many processes for compliance, agent onboarding, training, & marketing for his broker.
