Hoy celebramos el aniversario de LIUNA — ¡123 años y seguimos creciendo! Desde su fundación en 1903 por trabajadores inmigrantes y otras comunidades marginadas que luchaban por dignidad, justicia y oportunidades, la Laborers’ International Union of North America se ha convertido en un movimiento de más de 500,000 miembros.

Durante más de un siglo, LIUNA ha defendido salarios justos, lugares de trabajo seguros, programas de aprendizaje y capacitación, ayuda en casos de desastre y la defensa de nuestras comunidades. Nuestra historia es una historia de perseverancia — trabajadores que se unieron para construir poder colectivo frente a la exclusión, la explotación y la injusticia.

Hoy, esa lucha continúa. Seguimos organizando, defendiendo y construyendo un futuro donde todos los trabajadores sean respetados, protegidos y valorados. Celebramos más de un siglo de fuerza colectiva, servicio y solidaridad — y seguimos avanzando.



Today we celebrate LIUNA’s birthday — 123 years strong and still growing! Founded in 1903 by immigrant workers and other marginalized communities fighting for dignity, justice, and opportunity, the Laborers’ International Union of North America has grown into a movement of more than 500,000 members.

For more than a century, LIUNA has championed fair wages, safe worksites, apprenticeship and training programs, disaster relief, and advocacy for our communities. Our history is a story of perseverance — workers coming together to build collective power in the face of exclusion, exploitation, and injustice.

That fight continues today. We are still organizing, still advocating, and still building a future where all workers are respected, protected, and valued. We celebrate more than a century of collective strength, service, and solidarity — and we keep moving forward.
