Important update to the September calendar: the Monday, September 7 FTWNB Fat Cake Ride is canceled for Labor Day.

But that doesn’t mean you have to spend the holiday weekend off the bike! Instead, come join us at Il Giro di San Francisco, happening September 7 on the city’s waterfront.

Now in its 50th year, Il Giro is a San Francisco cycling tradition that brings amateur and elite racers together for high-speed criterium racing. Bicycle Law, Velo Promo, and Super Sprinkles are proud to sponsor this year’s event, and we’d love to see the Fat Cake community, and everyone else, out there cheering on the riders.

Bring a chair, settle in along the course, grab some food from the Off the Grid trucks, and enjoy a day of racing and cycling community.

Then on Thursday, September 24, join us on the Fat Cake Club city loop ending at Breadbelly! Count on spirited riding, good company, and something delicious waiting at the finish. 🥐 🚲

Details in the comments.

Are e-bikes changing the way we get around?

From cutting transportation costs to reducing our environmental impact, e-bikes are giving more people a practical way to get from point A to point B without the stress of driving. They’re also changing the conversation around what the future of transportation could look like.

Can I recover compensation for the damage to my bike? 🤔

If your bike has been damaged, you may be entitled to compensation for the cost of repairs, or, if it cannot be repaired, you may be entitled to compensation for the replacement value (and not the lower “depreciated” value that the insurance companies will offer). This part of your case is usually resolved quickly, before your bodily injury claim is resolved.

Save our number and don't hesitate to give us a call: (866) 835 6529.

Sometimes, one simple idea can set something much bigger in motion. 🚲

When Anson was just 8 years old, he noticed that some kids in his community did not have bikes. At the same time, he knew there were plenty of unused bikes sitting in garages.

So he decided to do something about it.

Anson began collecting bikes, working with a volunteer wrenching team to repair them, and donating them to kids who needed them. What started as one young cyclist’s idea has grown into Anson’s Bike Buddies, an organization that has donated more than 1,000 bikes over the past decade.

We’re proud to support Anson’s Bike Buddies and the work they’re doing to put more kids on bikes and build stronger cycling communities.

At Bicycle Law, we believe supporting cyclists means supporting the communities that make cycling possible. And we love seeing what can happen when someone decides to turn a good idea into action.

Learn more about Anson’s story and the movement he started at Anson's Bike Buddies.

On Saturday, August 29, cyclists from across the Bay Area will come together for the 12th annual Bay Ride, a one-of-a-kind charity ride with a mission we can get behind: making our streets safer for everyone.

The Bay Ride started in 2014 when three friends had an idea to bike around the entire Bay Area. Today, it brings together around 1,000 riders each year and has sold out for 11 consecutive years. And every ride helps turn that adventure into real change.

The Bay Ride directly funds cycling infrastructure improvements through its Safe Streets mission. That means safer routes and dedicated lanes for cyclists, better crosswalks and traffic calming for pedestrians, and clearer road rules and less congestion for drivers.

It’s a ride that benefits the entire community, and we’re proud to be part of it. 💚

And, of course, come find the Bicycle Law tent so you can:

✅ Meet our team
✅ Get some Bicycle Law swag
✅ Bring your bicycle law questions and chat with us

Whether you’re riding 35 miles from San Francisco to Oakland or taking on the full 135-mile route around the Bay, come say hello. We’d love to see you there!

You know Bicycle Law. But do you know the people behind it?

Bicycle Law is made up of attorneys and team members who bring different experiences, perspectives, and personalities to work. What connects us is a shared commitment to cyclists, our communities, and doing the right thing for the people we represent. We share a commitment to thoughtful advocacy, strong relationships, and serving our communities.

Recently, the Bicycle Law team came together for our 2026 Summer Session. It was a chance to learn, collaborate, spend time together, and, of course, have a little fun along the way.

Because behind every case, every ride, and every effort to make our roads safer is a team of real people who care deeply about this work.

Did you know your auto insurance can protect you while you’re riding your bike? 🤔

It’s called uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage, or UIM, and it can be incredibly important for cyclists.

If a driver hits you and doesn’t have enough insurance to cover your injuries, your own UIM coverage may help make up the difference. And yes, that coverage can apply even when you’re on your bike, walking, riding a scooter, or in someone else’s car.

That’s why we encourage every cyclist to check their UIM limits. Having the right coverage could make a major difference if the unexpected happens.

Have questions about UIM insurance or how it applies to cyclists? We’re happy to help you understand your coverage. Call us at (866) 835-6529 or fill out a form on our website to contact us today.

Why choose Bicycle Law?

Cyclists deserve lawyers who understand more than just the law. They deserve lawyers who understand the ride, too.

Here at Bicycle Law, we know what it means to share the road, navigate busy intersections, worry about close calls, and advocate for safer places to ride. That perspective matters when a cyclist is injured in a crash.

We represent injured cyclists while also working to make roads and communities safer for everyone who rides. We’re not just attorneys; we're cyclists and advocates.

So, whether you've known us for years or are just discovering us today, we're glad you're here. Connect with us anytime, or visit our website to learn more.
