📊 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞

For the first time this year, San Diego County’s median home price dipped in August — down 1.2% month-over-month to $889,500 (per Attom Data Solutions).

While prices cooled slightly, sales activity inched up, with 2,439 homes sold — a 2.4% increase year-over-year, though still among the lowest August sales on record since 1988.

Key highlights:
🏠 Median single-family price: $997,250 (↓1.3%)
🏢 Median condo/townhome price: $693,750 (↑6.7%)
⏳ Median time on market: 40.5 days — the highest in 4+ years
🏘️ Inventory: ~7,000 active listings (up from 5,700 last year)

Experts say the seller’s edge is softening — homes are taking longer to sell, and buyers have more choices. However, it’s still not a full-on buyer’s market just yet.

With rates easing and more inventory on the market, this fall is already opening new opportunities for patient buyers. 🌴
