Specializing in First Time Homebuyers
Have you ever felt so emotional, proud and accomplished that you can’t imagine how your heart can even fit in your chest anymore? I have. It hasn’t been from becoming a parent (i’m not one yet)or, winning an award or, making a bunch of money but instead from watching a first time home buyer take the keys to THEIR new home and unlocking the door. There is something so impactful and so enormous to seeing someone go from equity-less renting to equity-rich owning because, these buyers “understand” they have just purchased a home but they don’t quite understand that they just changed their entire future and likely the future of their children by becoming an investor.
My business, Kelly SD Homes, is centered around first time homebuyers because I take the time to educate and handhold through the ENTIRE process, I challenge my buyers to look past the pretty floors or countertops to think about the investment and possibilities and my commitment to my buyers is a lifelong relationship.
San Diego is an expensive market, we all know this. But if you can buy in San Diego, you can thrive here and anywhere financially. It is a PUZZLE to become a homeowner, there are ups and downs, lefts and rights but there is SO MUCH opportunity. I strive to simplify the process, to work diligently in the background to put out the fires and negotiate the best terms and to put in the time (this doesn’t happen overnight) to create owners out of renters.
Just for fun, calculate the total investment you have made towards other peoples homeownership by adding up all of the rent and renters insurance payments you have made in the past 5 years. Do you have the number? Is it a large number? Now write down how much you OWN as an asset from all of that money (hint, it’s $0). Does this number scare you a little bit? Good. Now let’s put together a plan to turn that $0 in to significant dollars that are yours.
