Examiner Interviews are one of the most satisfying parts of the job. I get to personalize my client to the examiner and they get a deeper understanding of the invention. Sure I've had some (or a lot) of interviews feel like a waste of time, but I've had even more that offered greater insight into the rejection, gotten great feedback for claim amendments, and have gotten agreements to allowance on cases that I thought had no chance based on my reading of the Office Action alone.
